Ultraviolette F77 Ride
Journey to the Peaks
A Journey to Remember 💓
After taking in the beauty of the architecture and capturing some memorable pictures, we continued our journey. Avneesh then took me to a renowned place in Hyderabad known for its Irani chai, which was an absolute delight to taste. The flavor of Irani chai was so delicious that I couldn't resist having more.
As I finally left Hyderabad and continued my journey towards Kamareddy, I couldn't help but appreciate the beauty of the well-maintained highways. Lined with trees and vibrant red flowers, these roads provided a pleasant driving experience despite the summer heat.
I was getting closer to Kamareddy, which was approximately 20 km away, and I was cruising along the highway. Suddenly, I noticed a red Tata Altroz car chasing after me, relentlessly honking and signaling for me to stop. This unexpected situation made me nervous, and my mind raced as I pulled over to the side of the highway. A man quickly emerged from the car and sprinted toward me.
He approached me with excitement and a warm smile, which immediately put me at ease. His first question was, "Bro, is this the F77? How is the bike, and how is its performance?" It turns out that he had also booked an F77 and was eagerly awaiting its delivery.
Hearing this exciting news filled me with joy, and I couldn't contain my excitement. I happily hugged him and we shared the enthusiasm for the F77. We took some pictures and videos to commemorate the moment, creating memories of our shared passion for the bike.
It was a delightful encounter with Mr. Karthik, an avid bike enthusiast. After some conversation, I mentioned that I was heading to Kamareddy for charging at Hotel Paranika Palace. To my surprise, he revealed that he worked for the Kamareddy government, and his office was nearby. I extended an invitation for him to visit the hotel while I was charging, and he agreed, saying he would come when he had some free time.
After a few minutes, I reached the hotel at 10:45 am with 40 % battery remaining and inquired about the charging. Thanks to Udheep from Lion Charge, who had already spoken to the hotel staff, the process went smoothly. The security personnel guided me to the basement, where they provided me with a charging point.
While my bike was charging, I took some time to relax and rest. I received a call from Karthik, informing me that he had arrived. I invited him to the basement to see the bike, and I even offered him the chance to take it for a test drive. He eagerly accepted, rode the bike in the basement, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Afterward, I left my bike to charge and went upstairs to take a well-deserved rest.
Not long after I left the bike to charge, I encountered an issue. The power supply tripped, likely due to the high voltage consumption from my booster charger. Additionally, the plug of my extension cable was damaged in the process. I was quite worried and unsure about what to do in this situation. I reached out to Udheep for assistance, and he promptly came to the rescue.
Around 3:30 pm, Karthik returned from his office to take me out for lunch. We enjoyed a delicious Andhra lunch at a nearby hotel and spent some quality time in conversation. By 4:50 pm, the bike had fully charged, although it had taken longer than expected due to the delays caused by the power issues.
As I was preparing to pack and get ready for my departure, I noticed a group of people who were having a training session at the hotel. They came out to inspect my bike and had numerous questions about it. I took some time to answer their inquiries and had a pleasant photo session with them, sharing my enthusiasm for the bike.
After bidding farewell to Karthik, a good friend and fellow F77 rider, I continued my journey towards Nirmal, the next charging station. This destination was guided by another friend, Prafulla, who was introduced to me by Udheep from Lion Charge. Prafulla is an owner of a Tata Nexon EV and a fellow electric vehicle enthusiast.
Prafulla had been incredibly helpful throughout my journey, assisting me in finding charging points in various places. He even provided me with his ID for a recharge app, which was loaded with money, making it much easier for me to manage the charging process. His support was invaluable during my ride.
Once I reached Nirmal, a twist in the journey awaited me. The hotel I had been guided to by the app didn't have a charging point, which came as quite a shock. I then proceeded to another location in the center of the city where I found a Bolt charger. The person managing the charger was pleased to assist me, but I soon realized that his power setup wasn't suitable for my bike. He only had two-phase power, which couldn't support my charger. Despite this, he insisted on trying to charge the bike.
We made several attempts to charge the bike, but it was met with failure each time. Eventually, we connected it directly to a 16 amp plug, and the bike started charging. There was a sense of relief, but I remained worried. Unfortunately, just moments later, a significant amount of smoke emerged, and his main power line was burnt. This turn of events left me feeling quite disheartened, as there were no other viable options available nearby.
I felt so sorry for that guy, and I left that place. He was very kind and even apologized for not being able to charge the bike. Taking a significant risk with the bike's low charge, I headed towards the next place without any concrete plans.
As there was no nearby highway, I traveled on a state highway. It was quite scary due to the lack of lights, bad roads and no shops along the way. While I was on this journey, suddenly, the road led me into a ghat section, which added to my fears. However, I persevered with a strong heart, my thoughts racing, and prayers continuously on my mind.
After about half an hour, I finally reached a proper highway, which brought a sense of relief. This experience was a true test of my resolve and resourcefulness on the road.
After traveling approximately 67 km, I reached Adilabad and entered the town in search of assistance. I came across an Indian Oil petrol pump and noticed a Tata charging point there. I approached the staff with some hesitation, seeking help to provide a charging point.
Initially, there were some language barriers, and they seemed unwilling to assist. However, a kind-hearted gentleman who had come to fill fuel for his car stepped in. He mentioned that the petrol pump belonged to his brother-in-law and instructed the staff to help me. He also allowed me to rest inside the pump.
After some time, the owner of the petrol pump arrived and offered his assistance as well. The staff turned out to be friendly and even provided some food to eat, as there were no shops open past 10 pm. I had a meal and took some rest inside the petrol pump office, which was an entirely unique and unexpected experience for me.
