1st Service

Visiting the Historic place before the historic ride

Before starting the ride, I had already crossed 1000 km, and it was also time for the first service. Since we had Chennai UV base for servicing at ECR Speedway, I went there two days before the ride and serviced my F77. Thanks to Shankar, the service guy, for doing the service in a neat and clean way. During servicing, we had a good chat about the upcoming ride, and he was so excited about it. He wished me luck and also helped me with some service inputs too.

Modification & Packing

Since I wanted my bike to be unique, I decided to do some wrapping inspired by the Marvel Iron Man theme, as I am a hardcore fan of Iron Man. I applied gold wrapping to the bottom and mudguard, and I also used clear wrap on the tank areas to protect it from scratches. Seriously, it came out really well and looks stunning.

After applying the wrapping, I went ahead and added stickers with the names of the sponsors to my F77. The sponsors include Bluarmour, Carbonado, Panasonic Lumix, Motul, and Powersports International. Now, my bike not only looks stunning with the Iron Man theme but also proudly displays the support of these amazing sponsors. I'm all set and super excited for the upcoming ride!

All these mods and sticker work cost me a day, resulting in a one-day delay from my original schedule. It made me worried, but I still managed to overcome the setback and proceed with the ride.

Once all the modifications were done, it was time for packing, and I became extremely confused about what to take and what to leave behind. I was mindful of not adding too much weight and had to avoid overpacking since there were limitations on how much I could carry.

During the packing process, figuring out how to mount everything on the bike took a lot of time and caused even more confusion. This situation built up a lot of tension within me, and I lacked confidence in saddling it up properly. I spent hours trying different combinations to find the right arrangement, but all my efforts seemed to fail.

At some point during this process, I even considered aborting the ride due to the challenges and doubts I was facing.

Finally, I managed to figure out the packing and get everything packed up. It was already around 12 am, so it was time to hit the bed, take some rest, and get up early in the morning to start the journey. I was looking forward to the adventure that awaited me on the road.
