DAY -1

On May 21st, everything was set for the ride. I had packed, saddled up, suited up, and was all ready to hit the throttle. It was around 6:30 am, and I was doing some last-minute checking when to my surprise, my brother and fellow Limited Edition F77 owner arrived all the way from Thriukalungundram to give me a send-off. I was overjoyed to see him, and we had a photograph session before I finally began my long journey towards Leh at 7:15 am.

The journey began from E Block, Selaiyur Hall, Madras Christian College, Chennai, and headed towards Nellore, the first stop, to charge the vehicle. From MCC, I took the Maduravoyal Bypass route, reached Redhills tolls, and then crossed the border, entering the first state, Andhra Pradesh.

After crossing the Sulurpetta toll gate, I took my first tea break. It was a much-needed rest, and during this time, I had the opportunity to meet a young lorry driver named Suresh. We had a friendly chat, and he was curious about my bike and where I was headed. He turned out to be the first person I met during this ride, and it was a nice encounter on the journey.

After the tea break and the chat with the lorry driver, I continued my journey towards Nellore for the first charging stop. With the guidance of my friends Avinash and Arun, I reached Ather Space in Nellore around 12 pm.

At Ather Space, I had the pleasure of meeting a few new friends, Sai and Sai, who were the first two people I encountered there. They were very happy to receive me and gave me a warm welcome. Despite meeting them for the first time, it didn't feel that way, as we instantly connected and interacted as if we had been friends for a very long time. It was a heartwarming experience to meet like-minded individuals on the journey and share the enthusiasm for electric vehicles and the open road.

The Charge was 19% remaining and covered 190.9 Km to be exact

The second Sai kindly took me to his friend's house, which was just a few meters away from Ather Space, so I could charge my bike. After setting the bike to charge, he took me out for lunch. We had a delicious Andhra meal that I thoroughly enjoyed. Later, he introduced me to a famous cold drink place that served delectable badam milk filled with nuts.

Throughout the time we spent together, I could feel his genuine care and concern for me. It was such a heartwarming experience to have someone be so hospitable and caring during my journey. Meeting new friends like him made the ride even more special and memorable. It's moments like these that truly make a road trip an unforgettable adventure.

After enjoying a delicious lunch and spending some relaxing time at the Ather Space showroom, I patiently waited for my bike to get fully charged. By 4:50 pm, it reached a charge level of 91%. Though it wasn't fully charged, I didn't want to delay the next stretch of my journey. I prepared myself to leave Nellore and head towards Addanki, excited to continue my adventure on the road.

At 5:30 pm, I bid farewell to my friends in Nellore and resumed my journey. By 8:30 pm, I crossed the Tanguturu Toll Plaza and decided to take a brief break. After resting for a short while, I continued riding, and by 8:50 pm, I reached Sanjeevini Residence, which is located on the highway in Medaramatla, Bodduvani Palem, Andhra Pradesh.

It was a long and eventful day of riding, and reaching my destination for the night was a satisfying feeling. I was ready to rest and recharge for the next day's adventures.

Despite facing a language barrier, I managed to communicate with the help of my friend Avinash, who assisted with translation and arranging my stay. After some challenges and a bit of drama, I finally secured an unexpected surprise—a complimentary AC room instead of the originally planned dormitory.

As events unfolded, I discovered that the owner of the place was a fan of F77 bikes, just like mine, and he was excited to see it. Out of gratitude and excitement, he insisted on offering me a free stay, even though I was prepared to pay for the dormitory.

It was a delightful and unexpected turn of events, and it goes to show how shared interests and connections can lead to wonderful experiences on the road. The hospitality and generosity I encountered during this journey made it even more memorable and heartwarming.

That's the end of day 1, and I went to sleep peacefully and satisfied. It was indeed a lucky day filled with meaningful connections, unexpected gestures, and a sense of accomplishment. May you wake up refreshed and energized for the upcoming days of your exciting ride.
