DAY -2

The day started with cleaning and lubricating the chain using Motul C1 & C2. Cleaning and lubing the chain without a paddock stand is not an easy task, so I tried my best and managed somehow. Though I had a good night's sleep the previous night and recharged myself for the next leg of the ride, the process of cleaning the chain was a bit challenging.

The stay was comfortable and conveniently located on the highway. After completing all the necessary primary checks, it was time to hit the road towards the next destination.

I started towards Hyderabad, which was a long way ahead. Meanwhile, I was still in the process of finalizing the charging stop. My friends were searching and figuring out a suitable charging point for me as I continued moving on the highway.

I had a few stops in between to capture some beautiful pictures of the countryside and to take a refreshing tea break.

While approaching the town of Miryalaguda, I decided to veer off the highway and venture into the town to search for charging points. I spotted a Hero Electric scooter outlet and inquired about charging options there. Unfortunately, due to low power availability, I couldn't charge my bike at that location. The showroom staff made sincere efforts to assist me, but their attempts were in vain. Nevertheless, they were fascinated by my bike and we engaged in a pleasant conversation.

During our chat, another individual who noticed my bike approached us and offered to help. However, his suggestion involved traveling back to the route I had just come from, which was not feasible for me. He went the extra mile by contacting his friends and seeking information about charging options. He then directed me to head to Nalgonda town for charging.

Coincidentally, at the same time, my friend was calling me and he also recommended the exact same place - Franklin EV in Nalgonda. It was quite an astonishing coincidence that both sources pointed me to the same charging station.

By the afternoon, I had reached the Franklin EV showroom in Nalgonda to charge my bike. Since there was no sunshade available outside, the showroom staff Mahesh kindly suggested that I bring the bike inside for charging. There was a power point conveniently located nearby. After plugging in the charger and verifying that it was working correctly, I allowed the bike some time to rest before starting the charging process.

While my bike was charging, I engaged in a conversation with Mahesh . He was considerate enough to offer me chilled water, which was much appreciated due to the soaring heat. Additionally, he kindly provided me with some delicious mangoes to enjoy. After a while, he invited me to join him for lunch, where I had the opportunity to savor authentic Andhra meals. Following lunch, I returned to the showroom, where I took some time to rest and relax before resuming my journey.

Once the charging was complete, I packed everything back and got ready to continue my journey towards Hyderabad. The owner of the showroom came to see me off, offering his best wishes and good luck for my ride. He had been incredibly helpful throughout my stay. We took some photos with the bike, exchanged goodbyes, and then I set off on my way.

By 6 pm in the evening, I had reached the outskirts of Hyderabad, near Ramoji Film City. I decided to take a break to rest and check the distance to my next stop. During this time, a few curious individuals approached me, inquiring about my bike and shooting questions about it. After the short break, I resumed my journey towards the charging destination, which I hadn't yet finalized.

The road ahead was congested with significant traffic heading towards Hyderabad. However, I managed to navigate through the traffic and continued onward, albeit at a slower pace.

Around 7:30 pm, I arrived in Hyderabad city, but I was still searching for a charging location. Fortunately, luck was on my side as a gentleman called me and provided a location near a coffee shop in Jubilee Hills. By 8 pm, I had reached the specified spot and met Avneesh, an Ather owner and electric vehicle enthusiast. He kindly guided me to the LION Charge Lounge in Jubilee Hills.

This lounge turned out to be an extraordinary find as it marked the country's first EV charging station lounge.

Upon reaching the LION Charge Lounge, we attempted to charge the bike, but the security personnel initially didn't permit it. However, we contacted the person in charge of the charging facility and requested access. He was quite accommodating and allowed us to charge the bike. Despite the initial permission, we encountered some difficulties in getting the bike to charge.

The person in charge, Mr. Udheep, went out of his way to assist us. He even came down to the location from his residence to provide hands-on help. Eventually, he managed to resolve the issues, and the bike began charging successfully.

Interestingly, I later discovered that Mr. Udheep was the Sales Head of Lion Charge. This unexpected turn of events marked a significant moment in my journey.

After a brief conversation with Udheep, it became evident that he was genuinely interested in helping. Lion Charge boasted a robust charging infrastructure throughout the country, which was great news for my journey. To my surprise, they had charging points from Jispa to Leh, precisely the area that had been a concern for me.

Upon discussing the matter with his superior, they were more than happy to sponsor me and provide assistance in charging my bike throughout the entirety of my journey. This unexpected and generous offer marked a pivotal moment, significantly alleviating my concerns about charging during the rest of the ride.

I am genuinely grateful to Udheep, Saiveer Reddy, and Avneesh for creating this incredible opportunity for me. Their surprising and generous support has truly been a game-changer for my journey.

The generosity didn't end there. Udheep went above and beyond by ordering a delicious dinner, mandi biryani, which served as a fulfilling and satisfying meal. He also provided access to the lounge for me to rest and sleep comfortably. In addition to this warm hospitality, he gifted me a t-shirt, badges, stickers, and other items that added to the memorable experience.

Late in the night, Udheep and Avneesh left me to rest, assuring me that they would be joining me in the morning for a send-off. I took advantage of this opportunity and enjoyed a good sleep for the next six hours.
